Autumn is finally here!

The crisp, cool air and the beautiful colors in the trees signal that it's time to start a new chapter in your life. Perhaps you can put yourself in a better situation, improve a relationship with a friend or family member, or even end a bad situation. Whatever the case may be, this is an amazing opportunity to turn something around before winter sets in.

Making positive changes doesn't have to be difficult either. Making small changes can lead up to much larger ones. For example, if going for a daily jog seems overwhelming then consider walking around the neighborhood every day after dinner for just 30 minutes each night. If you feel that's too much, then try walking around the block for 10 minutes 3 times a day.

Another good idea is to make sure you get enough sleep every night (7-9 hours). Do you stay up late watching TV or catching up on emails? Try getting away from the screens at least an hour before bedtime. And remember to be extra careful about how much caffeine you're taking in (caffeine has a way of making it harder to fall asleep).

Remember your mental health!

It's also important not to forget about your mental health. If you're feeling stressed out, consider taking a yoga class. If yoga is too difficult for you, then take up some simple stretches or meditation. Both these activities have scientifically proven benefits on your mental health and can also help you sleep better at night.

Another thing that helps alleviate anxiety is aromatherapy. The idea behind this practice is that the smells directly affect how you feel.
